The Firemen’s Association of the State of New York (FASNY) is proud to offer its members the opportunity to join a federally-insured, member-owned credit union. FASNY FCU brings you a full range of money-saving deposit and lending products and financial services.
In order to establish membership and open an account, please mail a completed Membership Application, copy of photo identification, and minimum $5 deposit. Your initial deposit of $5 stays in your account as long as you are a member.
Also eligible for membership are relatives by blood, marriage or legal order of current FASNY members. Sign up all your family members for lifetime membership in FASNY FCU.
Once you’ve joined the Credit Union, you can continue to enjoy the benefits of membership even if you no longer serve as a volunteer firefighter or EMS technician, as long as your initial $5 share remains on deposit. However, if you elect to close your account for any reason, you will need to re-qualify for membership.
Download a membership application by clicking here. Print out and complete the application, making sure to sign in the appropriate places. Federal law requires that your correct Social Security Number and street address be supplied at the time you open your account along with photo identification. The name on your account must read exactly as the name that appears on your social security card. Return the application together with a check or money order (do not send cash) for the initial deposit to:
